John W. Everitt Advanced Racing Clinic

For Immediate Release:

Tuesday, June 2, 2020

Due to the ongoing circumstances with COVID-19 we are cancelling the original date of the 2020 John W. Everitt Advanced Racing Clinic. We are hopeful that towards the end of the summer the environment will be more conducive for hosting the clinic. We have decided to postpone the clinic to August 14-16. We will continue to not take any advanced payment until we know for sure that the clinic is happening. Our next date for announcements will be on July 14th to decide officially if the clinic will be able to happen during the new dates of August 14-16.

Sincerely,

John W. Everitt Advanced Racing Clinic Organizers

Updated Dates

A message from the Everitt family.

John W. Everitt was a past Commodore of BBYC and Former President of the BBSF.  He loved being on the water and his true passion was always for "One Design Racing."  John and his Wife had two children and at that point most of his "One Design Days" were done, he shifted his focus on his kid's and sharing the sport as he enjoyed it;  Competitive Dinghy Racing.

Zach Runci and Ali Blumenthal decided to create this clinic and to name it after my father John W. Everitt, memorializing his passion for growing small boat One Design Sailing at high levels on Bellport Bay.  We are excited to be hosting the inaugural clinic this year and hope to build it year after year.

Our goal is to provide an opportunity for sailors to have access to high level coaching and be exposed to elite competition in each class.

Meet the Coaches

We look forward to a competitive clinic with a race day on Sunday followed by clinic awards.
